Christmas and winter projection
Christmas and winter projection for façades, cities and shopping streets
Create a warm festive atmosphere in a city centre, shopping street or building with snowflakes, stars or winter patterns. Without kilometres of string lights and with little maintenance.
Snowflakes and winter effects
Use gobo projectors to project snowflakes, ice crystals, stars or Christmas motifs onto façades, squares and trees. A rotating gobo makes the snow look as though it is really falling.
Who is it for?
- —Cities and municipalities looking to give their centres a festive feel
- —Shopping streets and traders' associations
- —Organisers of Christmas markets and winter events
- —Owners of historic buildings, hotels and commercial properties
Static patterns or dynamic effects
A fixed pattern is calm and elegant. A moving effect attracts more attention. For a complete show with a story and animation, video mapping is an option, but for an entire winter season, gobo projection is usually simpler and more affordable.
Rental, installation and dismantling
You can rent the projectors for the winter season. We help with choosing positions, installation and adjustment, and dismantling after the season.
Practical considerations
- —Mounting: on a pole, façade, roof or building opposite
- —Projection distance and desired image size
- —Ambient light from street lighting and shop windows
- —Light disturbance for residents: we aim the projection precisely at the target
- —Power supply and any permits required
Plan ahead
Christmas projects are seasonal and demand is high in autumn. Ideally, contact us in summer or early autumn, especially if you want custom gobos or need approval from a city or municipality.
Frequently asked questions
How can we request a Christmas projection as a municipality?
Send us photos of the locations and your preferred dates via the contact form. We will prepare a proposal covering projectors, positions and scheduling.
Can we have our own winter motif made?
Yes, for example using the city's coat of arms or your own design. We will create a custom gobo for this.
