Comparison
Façade projection or traditional illuminated signage: which suits your building?
There is no single best solution. The right choice depends on your goal, the location, the look you want and your budget. Here, we compare the options honestly.

The options at a glance
- —Gobo projection: a fixed image or simple effect, projected using light.
- —Video mapping: moving content tailored to the building, using video projectors.
- —Traditional illuminated signage: illuminated letters or logos fixed to the façade.
- —Lightboxes and illuminated façade signage: illuminated panels or boxes.
When should you choose projection?
Projection is a strong choice when you want flexibility: a different image for each season or event, or a temporary display without attaching anything to the façade. It is also an interesting option for listed or historic buildings.
When is illuminated signage a better choice?
Want your name to be permanently visible day and night, including in daylight? Illuminated letters or a lightbox are often more suitable. Projection is most visible at dusk and in the dark.
